Jahorina continues to place guest safety at the very top of its priorities. A rescue demonstration exercise was successfully conducted today on the Ogorjelica area, simulating the evacuation of skiers and tourists from a chairlift in emergency situations.

The exercise was organized by the Olympic Center Jahorina to test the readiness of rescue teams, equipment, and response procedures in potential crisis scenarios. For visitors, this represents an added level of confidence and reassurance that their safety is taken seriously throughout their stay on the mountain.

Numerous specialized services took part in the exercise, including members of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, the East Sarajevo Police Department, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, the Helicopter Service of Republika Srpska, and the Mountain Rescue Services from Jahorina, Foča, and East Old Town.

Additional support was provided by the Republika Srpska Civil Protection Administration, the Red Cross, local fire and rescue units, civil protection services, and the Health Center from Pale, demonstrating strong coordination among all emergency response teams.

The Olympic Center Jahorina emphasizes continuous investment in modern infrastructure, advanced rescue equipment, and staff training, ensuring that potential risks are minimized and handled professionally. Rescue teams on the mountain operate with up-to-date equipment and regularly undergo training aligned with international ski resort safety standards.

An additional safety advantage for the upcoming season is the permanent presence of a helicopter team stationed on Jahorina. The service will be available both for Olympic Center operations and for air medical transport, ensuring rapid response when needed.

These exercises confirm that Jahorina is not only a destination for quality skiing and entertainment, but also a mountain where safety, organization, and guest care meet the highest professional standards — an essential factor for every winter tourist.
